Blue Ribbon is derived from the name of the award of the fastest ship to cross the Atlantic Ocean in the 1830s. The first generation Blue Ribbon was Released in 1952, this bus was named in honor of being Japan's first center-underfloor engine bus.
"II" means the second generation of Blue Ribbon.
