FORESTER is derived from the English word "forester", which means like "someone who works in a forest taking care, someone trained in forestry". Originally the name of this car was supposed to be "STRIGA", but one of STRIGA's origin "Strega" has the meaning of "witch" in Spanish. Finally, the name of this car was changed to "FORESTER" because of the negative image of witches and the recall of the history of witch hunting in Europe.
