SAVANNA is derived from the English word "savannah", which means a "flat grassland in tropical or subtropical regions". SAVANNA was named after the imagination of fearlessness, dynamism, and stability.
"R" of RX-7 means the rotary engine. "X" means the symbol symbolizing the future. Also known as "Rotary Specialty". The numerical value of "7" represents the size of the car. "7" also means the order of development of rotary engine cars. Actually, RX-7 was the sixth model to be developed after COSMO, FAMILIA, LUCE, CAPELLA, and SAVANNA, but "7" was given because of 7 is a lucky number. So "7" has the double meaning.
