The company and brand name CITROËN is derived from the name of its founder André-Gustave Citroën. CITROËN means lemon in Dutch. His grandfatherran a fruit shop whose last name was "Limoenman", which means Limeman in Dutch. When the family moved from Warsaw to Paris, his father-in-law changed his last name to Citroën. |
