KIA

The company and brand name KIA is written as "起亞" in Korean and "起亜" in Japanese. "起 = KI" means "arise or come up out". "亞, 亜 = A" means Asia. Thus, "KIA" means "rising out of Asia".

HYUNDAI

The company and brand name HYUNDAI is derived from the company name of Hyundai Motor Industrial Company, which was founded by Chung Ju-yung in 1946. At that time, it was also named "Hyundai" because the car was the most modern convenience.

RENAULT SAMSUNG

The company and brand name Renault is a leading French automobile company, and the company name is derived from one of the founders of Renault, Louis Renault.
